Insulation installation frequently involves working in roof spaces at height, confined areas with poor ventilation, and handling irritant fibrous materials — all presenting significant WHS hazards.

Our insulation SWMS pack covers 6 activities including thermal insulation (batts and blown-in), acoustic insulation, roof sarking, wall wrapping, and working in roof cavities. Documents address hazards such as fibre irritation to skin, eyes and lungs, heat stress in roof cavities, falls through ceilings, electrical contact in roof spaces, and working in confined areas with limited ventilation.
